much, Sir. Because of you, I had the chance to breathe
fresh air today.”
Once again, Adrian was captivated by her soft
smile. He realized he had fallen deeply for Kalinda, like
the Mariana Trench in the ocean—deep and endless. He
had no intention of leaving that depth.
“In that case, would you like me to take you out
again?” Adrian asked with a warm smile. His question
stunned Kalinda. She couldn’t understand why he always
found ways to meet her. Strangely, she always said yes.
“Oh, and Miss, just call me casually. Don’t treat
me like your boss, okay?” he said, offering his pinky
finger. Kalinda looked confused. Adrian’s behavior was
unexpected. Suddenly, he was asking her to link pinkies
like kids making a promise. Her brain protested, but she
followed his lead. Now their pinkies were intertwined.
“If that’s how it is, I’ll follow you, Sir—ah, I
mean, Adrian,” Kalinda said, still holding his finger
firmly.
