Kalinda clearly remembered Adrian’s last words
before they parted that afternoon. Now, she was waiting
for him in front of the hospital. The analog watch on her
left wrist showed ten minutes past four.
Will he really come to pick me up? Kalinda
wondered.
Soon, a two-door car stopped right in front of her.
The door opened, revealing a tall man wearing a dark
brown suit.
“Sorry I’m late, Miss. There was a bit of a
problem,” Adrian explained, rubbing the back of his
neck.
Kalinda had lost count of how many times she
was amazed by Adrian’s actions. Even though she knew
he was from a wealthier background, she was always
impressed whenever they met. The man in front of her
looked perfect—his handsome face, his tall slim figure,
his gentle voice, and many other things. Oh no, Kalinda
thought, feeling her heart race.
