back then was Kalinda.
“It seems fate really brought us together, Miss
Kalinda. Let me reintroduce myself—I’m Adrian, the
victim you saved from that shooting.”
Adrian’s sudden confession made Kalinda stop
eating. She was very surprised by the information he
shared. Her mind was still trying to process everything.
Seeing Kalinda pause, Adrian chuckled.
“You better finish your food, or the flies will get
it,” Adrian said teasingly.
Feeling embarrassed, Kalinda resumed eating.
She felt shy for several reasons: first, how could she not
remember the face of the man she saved? And second,
now she felt awkward as if all attention was on the food
she had left untouched.
