everyone knew it was the sound of true friends—Melodi

               Senja  and Melodi Hujan—whose melodies had become
               one in the other’s heart.


                       Their  bond  grew  stronger  every  day  as  they

               played  music  together  in  the  garden,  soothing  anyone

               who  listened.  But  no  one  expected  that  one  day  their
               melody would have to be broken.


                       The news came suddenly: Melodi Hujan’s father

               was  transferred  to  a  distant  city.  Melodi  Hujan  would

               have to leave the little village and all her memories with
               Melodi Senja. When the school learned of it, many felt

               sad, but none more so than Melodi Senja.


                       On the last day before leaving, Melodi Hujan and
               Melodi  Senja  sat  together  in  the  garden.  The  air  was

               heavy, and though they tried to smile, they could not hide

               the ache of impending loss. Melodi Senja looked at her
               friend and said, “When you go, who will play your rainy

               notes? I’ll have no duet partner anymore.” Melodi Hujan
               managed  a  weak  smile  and  pulled  out  her  pianika.  “I
