“Thank you, Mr. Harjojo,” replied Jaka, his body
               soaked in sweat.

Mr. Harjojo, followed by Jaka and Laras, entered
a busy soto (soup) shop, filled with the sound of
conversations and clinking bowls. After waiting a bit,
Mr. Harjojo ordered three bowls of soto. Jaka and Laras
sat down, waiting as the server brought the food with
practiced ease. One by one, the bowls were placed on the
table. Mr. Harjojo sat in front of them.

each other,” said Mr. Harjojo while adding chili to his
               soup.

“Oh yes, how have you been, Jaka? Is your uncle
still hitting you?” he asked with a concerned face while
               stirring his soup.

Jaka just stayed silent and smiled. The lively
chatter and laughter continued to fill the small shop. A
few minutes passed, and Jaka and Laras had finished
