warm face made my heart ache even more. Without
hesitation, I hugged her tightly. We stood there, holding
each other for a long time. Tears streamed down my face,
soaking her back. I kept apologizing, feeling like a
failure, terrified that I had destroyed the dream she had
spent so long building.
But she simply smiled gently, soothing me.
“Seeing your smile while eating my bread…
that’s the reason behind all those dreams,” she said, her
voice filled with sincerity.
She wasn’t angry. She didn’t blame me. In fact,
she forgave me lovingly, as though there was nothing to
forgive at all.
I was deeply moved, though the pain in my heart
grew sharper. My mother’s dream may have crumbled,
but her love and support never faded. That strength is
something no crisis could ever destroy.
