“Please go ahead, Miss. Looks like you’ve been
waiting quite a while, haven’t you?” Adrian said.
“Yes, I’ve been waiting about 25 minutes,” she
replied.
Adrian found her very endearing, her cheeks
slightly puffed with food as she chewed. Once again, he
felt something familiar about her and dared to ask her a
question.
“Miss Kalinda, have we met before?” he asked.
“I don’t think so. The first time I saw you was
yesterday at the park,” she replied, recalling some recent
events. “Ah, wait—I suddenly remember. Maybe you
recognize me because of the news about the shooting in
the city? I helped a shooting victim at that time,” Kalinda
explained.
Adrian’s eyes widened as he listened to her
words. The curiosity that had been lingering in his mind
was finally answered. A special happiness warmed his
