wondering why Adrian left without a single word. But

she kept waiting, hoping for some explanation, somehow.

Several months later, Kalinda received a letter
while she was at the hospital.

“Doctor Kalinda, there is a letter for you,” said

one of the receptionists when she arrived. Kalinda took

the letter with confusion. It was unusual for anyone to
send letters to her workplace. The letter was handwritten,

the envelope was slightly worn, as if it had been sent

Goedemorgen, Miss. I hope you are doing well.
I am truly sorry, Miss. I had no other choice but to
leave. Circumstances forced me to leave you without
                saying goodbye.

Do you know, Miss? Since the first time we met, I have
always noticed you. You are truly beyond perfect, Miss.
The sweet smile you give every moment, the scent of
jasmine that fills the air when you walk by, your warm
heart — everything about you is truly beautiful,
