Black Soul Stone
By: Abdillah Tarkinay
Beneath the golden towers of Tristram, darkness
began to appear. Dark fog leaked into the streets, thick
as smoke, and pulsing with something vile. The
villagers became dangerous, their kindness turning to
cruelty overnight. Children woke screaming from
dreams of endless nightmares. Even the royal palace felt
the grip of the curse. Princess Antonina, once vibrant
and full of life, had fallen gravely ill, her breath
shallow, her eyes distant, as though her soul itself had
been touched by shadow.
King Basil, desperate and burdened by age,
summoned Sir Tornike of Tristram a knight renowned
for both his sword and his unwavering spirit. The old
king spoke of legends buried beneath the castle a
labyrinth of ancient ruins, once a hidden kingdom, and
within it, a Black Soul Stone said to hold the wrath of a
betrayed guardian. Tornike listened and did not hesitate.
