“Rudi, I don’t know what to do. I can’t live
without you,” Margaretha said, her voice trembling. “I

know our worlds are different, but I just want to be with

you.”

Rudi held Margaretha’s hands tightly.
“Margaretha, I love you too. But I can’t stay. Your father

has threatened to kill me if I return. I have to go…

forever.”

Margaretha cried, her heart breaking. “But I’ll
wait for you, Rudi. I’ll wait for you forever. One day

we’ll meet again, I believe that.”

Rudi looked into Margaretha’s eyes, filled with

pain. “I can’t ask you to wait. Our lives are too different,
and I don’t want to see you suffer because of our love.

But I will always love you, Margaretha. Forever.”
