From the Corner of the Bakery

               February 22, 1970
                       That  day,  the  sun  shone  brightly—an  exquisite

               morning at the end of the rainy season. In the shopping

               district, a crowd had gathered in front of a store. Some
               people  looked  excited,  eagerly  awaiting  the  start of an

               event,  while  others  seemed  to  be  merely  passing  by,
               curious about the source of the gathering. I stood at the

               front row of the crowd, excitedly waiting for the event to
               begin.



                       From  the  center  of  the  crowd,  a  middle-aged
               woman  emerged,  dressed  neatly  with  an  apron  tied

               around  her  waist,  its  color  matching  the  shop building
               behind  her.  After  greeting  a  few  people,  she  stood  in

               front  of  the  storefront,  at  the  heart  of  the  crowd,
               delivering  a  short  speech  of  gratitude  and  hope.  She

               stood  before  the  shop’s  entrance,  wrapped  in  satin

               ribbon.  With  a  pair  of  golden  scissors,  she  cut  the
