The years passed. Fira graduated high school with
honors. She was accepted into university. Every step was
a battle, but she won them all not with luck, but with grit.
And when she stood on the stage in her graduation gown,
her mother clapping through tears, she felt her father’s
presence in the breeze, in the applause, in her own
beating heart.
University brought new challenges. The pace was
fast, and the competition fierce. There were moments she
doubted herself, moments she cried in silence, clutching
old letters in the dark. But she always found the strength
to keep going, sometimes in the voice of a professor who
believed in her, sometimes in the smile of a friend who
held her hand during hard times.
She majored in clinical psychology and
volunteered at mental health centers, often working with
children and teens from troubled families. She could see
reflections of her younger self in them, confused, angry,
