They ran quickly to the center of the village,

where the boom had been heard. The villagers had
gathered there, their faces looking very tense. In the

center of the village square, there was a huge hole, the
edge of which still had a small fire burning. Nearby

stood a mysterious figure wearing a long robe, his face

covered in shadow.

“Kian,” Lira whispered, grasping Kian's arm
tightly. “What is it?”

“I don't know. But it looks dangerous,” Kian
replied quietly, his eyes not leaving the figure.

The robed man raised his hand, and suddenly a

dark shadow emerged from the ground. The shadows
turned into scary creatures with very sharp claws. The

villagers immediately screamed in hysterics, some even

running away in all directions.
