woman  smiled  warmly.  Before  answering,  she  paused

               and thought for a moment.


                       "Maybe this will trouble you a bit, but I’d like a
               few  stalks  of  flowers,"  her  mother  said  softly. "Lately,

               the  house  feels  a  little  gloomy.  I  think  it  might  look

               brighter with some flowers in it." As she listened to her
               mother's gentle chatter, the young woman tidied up her

               desk and rose from the soft, slightly sunken cushion on
               her chair.


                       "Alright, Mom. I’ll get you some flowers. Is there

               anything else you’d like?" she asked kindly. Her mother
               shook her head—she didn’t need anything more.



                       "Okay  then,  I’ll  go  get  ready,"  the  daughter
               continued.


                       "Go ahead. I’ll grab some money first," said the

               older woman, turning to leave.


                       But  just  before  stepping  out  of  her  daughter’s
               room,  the  gray-haired  woman  paused  and  turned  back

               around  to  face  her.  "My  dear,  don’t  push  yourself  too
