“Maybe your family has a connection to the

independence fighters,” Siti replied. “It’s possible your
               house was once a hideout.”

From that day on, they often met beneath the old

tree. Siti helped Arman learn more about his family

history. They searched village archives, spoke with
village elders, and pieced together information little by

               little.

One day, an old man told them that Arman’s
great-great-grandfather was once a secret messenger for

the fighters in the region. The paper Arman found was
one of the final messages hidden before independence

               was achieved.

“So, your family was part of history, Man,” said

               Siti in awe.

Arman smiled. “But I don’t know what I can do
               now to honor their legacy.”

“You already have,” Siti answered softly. “By

preserving this story, you’re keeping history alive.”
