That day, under the mango tree, I promised in my
heart that I would take care of mom and honor all the
values that dad instilled in my life. The mango tree was
not just a tree, but a legacy of father's memories and love
that would always live on in its every fruit, in its every
leaf that waved in the sun. Despite the passage of time,
the mango tree stood firm as a sign that the love in our
family would always be there, even though my father
was gone. Every time I went home, I always took the
time to sit under that tree to give thanks for all that my
father had passed on.
Now that mango tree has become part of my life
journey. A tree that not only provides shade, but also
strengthens, teaches about timeless love and patience. It
was under that mango tree that I learned, that true love
will always live, even though the person we love has
gone.
