FOREWORD
Every step we take carries a story — a quiet echo of
moments, memories, and meanings often left untold. “The
Story Beneath Our Steps” is a collection of short stories
written by the talented students of class XI-6, who have
poured their thoughts, dreams, and reflections into these
pages.
This anthology is more than just a compilation of
fiction; it is a testament to the creativity, growth, and courage
of young writers exploring the depths of imagination and
emotion. Each story invites readers to pause, look beneath the
surface, and discover the hidden layers of human experience.
We extend our deepest gratitude to our mentor, Noer
Indahyati, S.Pd., M.Pd.B.I., whose guidance, encouragement,
